“Over the past decade, TPWD has worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and area volunteers to install fish attractors made of plastic and cedar trees in this reservoir. Black bass, crappie and sunfish use these structures for cover. Groups that have helped with this project include the Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County, Canyon Lake Bass Club (Friends of Reservoirs Chapter), the Hays and Lindheimer Master Naturalist groups, and Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited.

Most attractors are placed on key structure spots including drop-offs, humps, and roadbeds. Locations are shown on the map and chart below. Anglers may use GPS in conjunction with a fish finder to locate the attractors.”
